(Bloomberg) -- Artificial intelligence search company Perplexity AI has started fundraising talks in which it aims to more than double its valuation to $8 billion or more, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday. SoftBank Group Corp.’s Vision Fund 2 invested in Perplexity earlier this year at a $3 billion valuation. The company has launched an array of revenue-sharing partnerships with major publishers, even as it has faced accusations of plagiarism from some news outlets.
