CAIRO, 25 January 2021 Handball World Cup official website: Portugal coach Paulo Pereira praised the performance of his team’s players despite losing to France in their final game at the World Championship and quitting the tournament from the main round. Portugal lost to France 32:23 in their final game of main round of Egypt 2021, Group III at Dr Hassan Moustafa Indoor Sports Complex, 6th of October on Sunday. Meanwhile, Portugal’s captain Fábio Magalhães revealed his depression after losing to France and quitting the World Championship from the main round. The 32-year-old, left back also congratulated France for reaching the World Championship quarterfinals, confirming his teammates put on a superb show against one of the big teams in the world. On the other side, France coach Guillaume Gille confirmed his team played a brilliant game against Portugal as well as finishing the game with the victory over a big team.
