IPOH: Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah (pic) has reminded the Malay community not to take lightly the misconduct of some, who like termites can cause destruction to their own race. Sultan Nazrin said the Malays have only recently started to enjoy the fruits of success as compared to the bigger successes achieved by others. "Being materialistic and chasing after power were among the characteristics shown by some,” he said in his speech at the "Muzakarah Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah" held at a hotel here. "Today the dignity of the race is being humiliated with cases of corrupt conduct, breach of trust, cheating and abuse of power," he added. He said the Malay community must be wary and always remember the proverb "Because of a small drop of indigo, a whole pot of milk is destroyed.”
