Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wanted to bring in some fresh faces last summer but only saw two players added to his squad. According to The Athletic, Guardiola wants several new signings next summer, with a centre-back, left-back and forward at the top of his wish list. The first-choice centre-back required surgery on a knee injury he picked up against Brighton and has yet to return to the first-team. This left Guardiola with just Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones and as a result he has had to resort to using defensive midfielder Fernandinho as a make-shift centre-back.
