The move was offered by various clubs at the end of the 2019/20 season after the Ukrainian international had a disappointing campaign at City. Guardiola said: "Oleks [Zinchenko] fought a lot to be at Man City, a transfer was possible, he said 'no I want to be here'. Zinchenko has won eight honours since joining City, most recently sealing the Carabao Cup after defeating Tottenham 1-0 in the final. And he could win another if City can win lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in the club's history at the end of the month.
