Photo: BSSCUMILLA, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid today said people of the country now expect a well-governed and prosperous Bangladesh after a long struggle and movement that created an opportunity for real change. The minister said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman remains highly cautious in making appointments and assigning responsibilities. "The Prime Minister always says he wants honesty, because 180 million people of Bangladesh expect honest leadership," he added. Amin Ur Rashid said honest, skilled and far-sighted leadership is essential for running the country as well as for administrative responsibilities in any region. Referring to the newly appointed administrator of Cumilla City Corporation Yusuf Molla Tipu, the minister said it is a matter of pride that he was born in Cumilla.
