A 75-year-old woman had to wait three hours for an ambulance after falling and badly breaking her wrist. Mrs McDonald's sister called for an ambulance at around 12.50pm, but the former NHS nurse was left lying on the cold concrete for three hours waiting for paramedics to arrive. Her daughter Katie, 35, rushed to be with her mother, but did not want to move her in case of further injuries.
