GEORGE TOWN: Golden Sands Resort, Penang by Shangri-La has not only created a beautiful work of art, but earned an entry in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) with the largest floating ‘kolam’ in Malaysia, ahead of Deepavali celebrations on Oct 18. The kolam floats on the surface of the resort’s 120,000-gallon swimming pool, and is a wonder to behold. The kolam took over 100 volunteers ten consecutive days to complete.
