GEORGE TOWN: Fighting against an invisible “enemy” is a daunting task but Dr Chow Ting Soo is all game for it. In 2003, Dr Chow was appointed as primary investigator in the trial of atazanavir for treating HIV patients. This time around, Dr Chow said it would be an arduous task as Malaysia, like other countries, were fighting an unknown “enemy”. They are Tuanku Fauziah Hospital (Perlis), Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (Kedah), Penang Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Melaka Hospital, Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (Pahang), Sarawak General Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Sabah). “My mum takes care of all my children’s needs so that I have no worries in handling a severe infectious disease in the ward.
