GEORGE TOWN: Penang MCA Tanjong division youth chief Lim Swee Bok has claimed the remains of his four family members who perished in a pre-dawn fire near Cecil Street here. The remains of his two children, Lim Jia Yiin, 8 and Lim Yin Chun, 9, and his mother, Lau Sai Poh, 62, were claimed from the Penang Hospital mortuary at 4.38pm today. The remains of his wife, Chen Yen, 35, were claimed at 6.50pm following a delay in her documentation procedure. The four victims perished in an early morning blaze that engulfed their two-storey home at Pintasan Cecil 5, Pengkalan Weld at 6am this morning. The Fire and Rescue Department’s forensics unit is still investigating the cause of the fire.
