From The Tribune staff reportsTRUSSVILLE — A Pell City woman was found dead in her cell at the Trussville City Jail on Sunday, Oct. 8. The woman was a Leeds Police Department inmate being housed at the Trussville City Jail. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of her family, but the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed she lives in Pell City. She was found unresponsive inside her cell at 11:15 p.m. by jail staff who were performing a routine cell check. The Trussville Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
