Police received a report of a collision at 8:14 p.m. that a pedestrian had been struck by a car. A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck on Sheppard Ave. E and Neilson Rd. Police said initial reports said the man had sustained severe injuries, but that they are now considered life threatening. All of northbound Neilson Rd. at the 401, as well as the eastbound and westbound ramps to northbound Neilson and the southbound traffic at Neilson Rd and Berner Trail are blocked off.
