Pedestrian struck by car in Mississauga


One man is seriously injured after being struck by a car in Mississauga Saturday evening. Peel Regional Police say the collision happened before 8:45 p.m. in the area of Hurontario St. and Absolute Ave., north of Burnhamthorpe Rd. E.A 57-year-old man was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Lori Murphy said the driver of the car remained at the scene. The intersection is closed for a police investigation.
