A pedestrian involved was taken to Dunedin hospital by ambulance in a serious condition after the incident, which happened in Hanover St at about 3.05pm. Inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the collision. There have been at least 22 serious crashes on Hanover St since 2000 and two fatal crashes, according to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency data.
