A man is dead, a woman has minor injuries and another man is in police custody after a hit-and-run on Eglinton Ave. W. early Wednesday. Toronto police Const. Clint Stibbe said the two pedestrians were involved in an “altercation” when an SUV hit the man after making a left turn onto Eglinton from Black Creek Dr.Stibbe said the SUV was travelling east in the westbound lanes when it hit the man. The 37-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Stibbe said the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries, which were not a result of the collision.
