The man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at Larragh just after 2am on Sunday. The driver of car involved in the incident – a woman in her 20s – was not injured in the crash. The scene of the collision on the R755 remained closed on Sunday morning to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
