A pedestrian in his 80s was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries after being struck by a car Saturday morning in Scarborough. Toronto police said they responded to multiple calls reporting that the pedestrian was struck just after 9 a.m. at Warden Ave. and Bamburgh Cir., near Terry Fox park. Allyson Douglas-Cook, noting that a majority of the calls mentioned the man’s head injuries. Toronto paramedics told the Star that the pedestrian’s injuries could be “potentially life-threatening” due to his age and the nature of the pedestrian’s head injuries.
