A pedestrian has died following a serious collision in Greymouth. Emergency services were called to Bright St in Cobden after a car collided with a woman aged in her 50s about 8.45pm yesterday. Early reports indicated that the incident involved a car and a cyclist. However, police today confirmed that a pedestrian was struck. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in Bright St between 8.30pm and 8.45pm yesterday who may have seen the pedestrian before the crash.
