• Imo communities appeal to FG over invasion by suspected herdsmenDelta State Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, has inaugurated the Peace Committee on Farmers/Herdsmen in the state. Zanna said the committee was constituted to promote harmonious relationship between farmers and herdsmen, advising that it should also act as an alternative dispute mediator. He further charged the members to nip in the bud, pro-actively, any tendency that could bring about misunderstanding between communities and herdsmen. In a statement issued on Monday in Owerri, the aggrieved farmers decried the alleged hostility meted out to them by suspected herdsmen. He urged that security measures be put in place to avert the menace.
