The city of Paynesville has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lagos State Government to facilitate the completion of 100 Resilient Cities projects aimed at assisting cities to address 21st century challenges, according to a press release. With a growing population of 23 million, Lagos is one of the fastest growing cities and one of the most populous urban masses in the world. The signing ceremony of the sister city agreement was done in Lagos in furtherance of the 100RCs. In her remarks, the Mayor of the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), Madam Cyvette M. Gibson, said that the partnership would afford Paynesville City the opportunity to learn from Lagos, especially with regards to projects that could aid in its development. “Lagos is currently home to about 23 million inhabitants with an estimated 86 people moving into Lagos every hour.
