As much as she enjoys directing, Zoya considers herself a writer first. She says, "I don't think there's a dearth of good writers. I think there is a dearth of producers who want to pay writers. She feels due to a lack of time there isn't enough quality content and that writers should be paid better. Until you don't invest money, how is it going to get better?"
