NorthStar EntertainmentThe producers of director Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s Katamarayudu are well into profit before the romantic action drama starring Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan rolls out in India, North America and other markets on March 24. The Telugu remake of 2014 Tamil blockbuster Veeram, which starred Ajith and Tamannaah, it has achieved the third biggest advance sales for a Tollywood title behind both editions of S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali. The producer, NorthStar Entertainment’s Sharrath Marrar, has recouped 115 crore ($17.2 million) from the sale of theatrical, satellite, digital, dubbing and other audio/video rights, according to Greatandhra.com. CineGalaxy is launching the film at 253 locations in North America, its widest ever release, with premieres starting at 5 pm on March 23. Kalyan plays the oldest of five brothers, a larger-than-life, peace-loving man with a heart of gold with one major flaw - he hates women and has never been in love.
