IPOH: Perak executive councillor (exco) member Paul Yong Choo Kiong's rape trial was postponed again, today. This is the second time the defence team has filed an application to transfer the rape case from the Sessions Court to the High Court. Sessions judge Norashima Khalid allowed the adjournment of the trial today, pending the Court of Appeal’s decision on whether the trial should be continued at the Sessions Court or transferred to the High Court. Yong's counsel, Farhan Sapian, said that today's trial had to be postponed as they are still awaiting the Court of Appeal’s decision.
