Paul McGinley: Adare captaincy unlikely as Tiger Woods in 'last-chance saloon'

Ryder Cup-winning captain Paul McGinley believes people are running out of patience with Tiger Woods as he is in the "last-chance saloon" in terms of his golfing career. When it was suggested the former world number one was becoming a bigger problem than asset to golf McGinley added: "I don't think Tiger Woods is the root of all evil in the game. "You're never going to say never with Tiger Woods but it's highly unlikely." "It's important for him to protect his legacy in terms of PGA Tour wins and all he achieved on the PGA Tour so he's got skin in the game in that regard. "He's a very important ally for (chief executive) Brian Rolapp in terms of trying to herd everybody behind Rolapp and the PGA Tour's future vision.
