In the middle of last week, it wasn’t clear who was going to come out on top and claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this time around, and Billboard itself claimed it was a toss up between Eminem’s Kamikaze (which debuted atop the listing last frame with over 400,000 units shifted) and Paul McCartney’s newly-released Egypt Station. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 with 153,000 units shifted, of which, 147,000 are actual sales. That’s enough to blow past Kamikaze, which was able to move 136,000 units in its second stint on the tally. 1 on the Billboard 200 since 1982, when his solo record Tug of War rose all the way to the pinnacle.
