Police said explosions were heard after midnight in 12 districts of Pattani – seven to eight times in Muang and Nongchik districts. People who were shopping and eating late at night rushed home immediately. The Provincial Electricity Authority spent about an hour restoring power supply in the downtown area. The power lines in the other areas would be repaired during daytime. Pattani police chief Pol Maj-General Piyawat Chalermsri has ordered 15 police stations to step up security.
