Meanwhile, Marian Capadocia held off Clarice Patrimonio, 6-3, 7-6(5), as they kept their singles crowns in the PPS-PEPP Brookside Hills Open Tennis Championships at the Brookside Hills Tennis Club in Cainta, Rizal last Sunday. Capadocia, who dropped just two games to reach the women’s singles finals, sustained her form against Patrimonio, taking four of the first six games in the opening frame. But Patrimonio toughened up in the second, breaking Capadocia in the second to go 2-up. 6-3, 6-3, and clinch the women’s doubles crown worth P10,000 in the event backed by Rep. Jack Duavit, One Cainta, Bgy. 2 Patrombon and Noel Damian Jr. in the semis then foiling Arcilla and Eric Jed Olivarez, 4-6, 7-6(3), 10-8, for the title worth P15,000.
