KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The National Patriots Association (Patriot) is demanding a full investigation over an alleged lopsided agreement between the previous government and two concessionaire companies of the Automated Enforcement System (AES). "Patriot demands to know who the corporate owners of the two AES concessionaire are, namely ATES and Beta Tegap. Why did the managing director and the board of directors of LTAT allow the RM555mil to be taken from the fund?" Transport Minister Anthony Loke on Friday (Aug 17) revealed that RM295 million paid to ATES Sdn Bhd and RM260 million to Beta Tegap Sdn Bhd did not involve taking over a large number of assets but only 40 AES cameras. He also said that LTAT had acted on the instructions of the Barisan Nasional government.
