PETALING JAYA: Attempts by some politicians to move a confidence vote for Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Parliament are irresponsible, says the National Patriots Association (Patriot). He said Patriot had always urged politicians to stop politicking over the premiership succession and allow the Pakatan presidential council to decide on the matter. "Patriot would like to see all our politicians get cracking and quit the disgusting politicking of scheming for premiership succession," he said. Last week, PAS said it would table a vote of confidence in Dr Mahathir's leadership in Dewan Rakyat next month. PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the tabling of the vote of confidence was decided unanimously by the party's central leadership council during its monthly meeting.
