ST. PAUL, Minn. — Like his coach, Elias Pettersson just wants the freedom to play his best hockey. That there was no penalty on the play made his coach angry, and frustrated Pettersson and his teammates. “I was a little frustrated because I feel like it’s not a good play, kind of like a dirty play. If they’re calling me like I’m embellishing or I’m diving to get penalties, I’m not about that,” he said. “I’m trying to play hard hockey and play with respect against my opponents.
