A jury in Moncton found Patrick James Edward Cole not guilty of dangerous driving causing the death of Nicole NovakThe 29-year-old man was charged after a single-vehicle crash on July 16, 2017, in Frosty Hollow, near Sackville. Witnesses testified Novak passed Cole's truck and he followed behind her car for about 20 kilometres before the crash, sometimes at high speed. He said Cole's family is thankful for the verdict. Cole testified he often went down that road in his lifted Dodge Ram. Cole testified he didn't see the car most of the time on that rough road, saying it was farther ahead.
