The former Manchester United player, named as a substitute for Thursday’s fixture, lashed out at the fan before the match in Portugal had started and was sent off. Marseille, who also had Boubacar Kamara dismissed during the game, were beaten 1-0. The Marseille manager, Rudi García, said Evra had reacted to taunts fromthe fans but still criticised his actions. “Pat has experience and he must not react, it’s obvious,” García was quoted by L’Équipe as telling BeIN Sports.
