In a shocking incident, a youth allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself while chatting with his girlfriend on a live WhatsApp video call in Patna on Monday. Akash Kumar, 19, shot himself in the head using a country-made semi-automatic pistol inside his residence at Saichak under Beur police station, a Times of India report said. The youth had failed in intermediate examination last year and was also under pressure from his family to end the relationship. The incident took place at around 3 am when Akash was alone at his residence and was on a WhatsApp video call with his girlfriend, police said. The police have recorded girl's statement who confirmed the youth committed suicide while chatting with her on live video, Beur police station SHO Alok Kumar said.
