Patients warned after bacteria found at Winnipeg hospital

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is warning patients after a bacteria was found at a hospital handwashing station. WRHA spokeswoman Bronwyn Penner Holigroski said the health authority isn't aware of anyone who has reported getting ill from the bacteria. She couldn't say how many patients could have come into contact with the water. The health authority is sending letters to patients who were at the hospital warning them to watch out for symptoms of legionnaires. Penner Holigroski said hospital staff have flushed the water lines at the hospital and removed the taps on sinks in the area the bacteria was found.
