Christine de Curraize, the state prosecutor, said that the 45-year-old, who has not been named, allegedly had tried to cause heart attacks in patients having routine operations. A lawyer for the doctor said that he denied wrongdoing and believed that the accusations were “astonishing”. Police launched an investigation after two patients had a heart attack during operations in January.
