"Kenya Power has told us there is low power voltage. Operations at the Webuye sub county hospital in Bungoma County have been paralyzed for the past week after electricity supply was disconnected. Dr Patrick Mutoro, the hospital's superintendent, said the facility has run without power and water since May 19. One patient died while several others scheduled for surgery sent into a panic mode following uncertainties on the erratic power supplies. Mutoro said that the hospital had bills of Sh300,000 which were paid to the electricity supply company.
