An ambulance carrying a critically ill patient from the New Yourpea Clinic in Nimba County over the weekend collided with a commercial truck in Toweh Town, wounding five persons. The ambulance also left the critically ill patient (a lady) it was transporting to the Jackson Fiah Doe (JFD) Hospital in Tappita to die shortly after the incident occurred. While the ambulance was enroute to Tappita, eyewitnesses said, it collided with a truck heading in the opposite direction with over five persons on board. The ambulance suddenly disappeared under the truck, to everybody’s disbelief, leaving the nurse in the ambulance confused and calling on the hospital to send another ambulance for the patient. The patient later died enroute to Tappita, while on board another ambulance.
