The Government has announced that passport application fees will increase from April 8. Under the plans, which are subject to approval by Parliament, the cost of a standard online application will go up from £94.50 to £102 for adults. The Government does not make any profit from the cost of passport applications. People can make an online application for a UK passport here. In 2025, where no further information was required, 99.7% of standard applications from the UK were processed within three weeks.
