The Blue Jays may not be Phi Beta Baseball, but a split against the American League East Division leaders is at least equivalent to a B-minus. Pitching for the most part has been really, really good. Severino drilled Smoak in the leg, which triggered a second bench-clearing brawl after earlier hitting Donaldson in the elbow. He was really good today and we were able to scratch out a couple, then J.D. The Jays left town 7-3 on the homestand but remain 5 ½ games behind the Yankees, still frustratingly shy of .500.
