Passengers screamed in horror when the emergency exit door of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft PK-631 travelling from Islamabad to Sukkur opened during landing, a local news outlet reported on Sunday. On June 8, 2019, a woman, aboard a PIA flight, had sparked panic after she mistakenly opened the emergency exit door thinking it was the toilet. The national flag carrier’s plane was on the runway at the Manchester Airport when she had pressed the button, opening the emergency exit door. Consequently, aircraft’s airbag shoot had opened and 37 passengers had to be off-loaded from the aircraft. “The plane was parked on the runway when the airbag shoot opened, so there was no threat of any kind,” he had added.
