KOTA KINABALU: A passenger was prevented from boarding a Royal Brunei Airlines flight after he uttered the word ‘bomb’ during luggage inspection at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), this morning. The man casually responded “bomb”, prompting a stern warning from the officer on duty. A colleague who overheard the conversation then advised the officer to remove the passenger and his baggage from the Bandar Sri Begawan-bound flight. This was not the first time a passenger had been pulled from a flight after making threatening remarks. The 62-year-old passenger flew into rage when an airline staff asked for his documents prior to boarding the flight.
