The cuts are on the orders of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), in order to enable them to construct a 330kV overhead line between Kumasi and Aboadze. The power outage, as sighted on DGN Online, will last for six consecutive days, starting from Thursday, 11th April to Wednesday, 17th April, 2019. Just last week, the PDS released a list of areas that would experience outages during the weekend. However, the outage will last for 12 hours roughly.
