Parts of Bluff without water after pipe burst

Fire and Emergency New Zealand were called to direct traffic after a pipe burst in Bluff. Parts of Bluff is without water after a pipe burst on Tuesday morning. A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said a crew from Bluff was called out to a pipe that had burst on the corner of Liffey and Gore streets in Bluff at 6.40am. Sanford communications general manager Fiona MacMillan said the water came back on at 8am at the Bluff fish processing plant. Staff at the Bluff plant worked in areas which didn’t require water use between 7am and 8am and it would not affect production for the day, MacMillan said.
