Opposition party leaders say the State government’s inaction is to blame for putting the public to hardship. Raghunathanmore-inPolitical leaders cutting across party lines have urged the State government to convene talks with transport unions to find an amicable solution to their ongoing strike. In a statement, Dr. Ramadoss pointed out that State Transport Minister M.R. responsible’“Instead of talking to the unions and bringing the strike to an end, the officials tried to intimidate and threaten the unions. Thirunavukkarasar accused the State government of not acceding to the legitimate demands of transport workers and lacking vision.
