"Let's give the credit to the President, it is a renovation, and it is being done by a Chinese firm. I’m not sure that the whole $30 million will be used for only the renovation; part of it is going to the national theatre," she stated. The minister said she was optimistic that the long-awaited refurbishment of the iconic venue would commence in 2026. Beyond the National Theatre, the Minister said she is focused on completing various regional projects around the country, most of which are in various stages of completion.
