Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard have seized a huge amount of parshe (mullet) fry in a drive at Gangroshi Bazar under Paikgachha upazila, Khulna. A petrol team of Coast Guard West Zone had conducted the drive around 10pm on Friday and seized the fish fry worth Tk20 lakh, confirmed Zonal Commander Lt M Selim Biswas. An engine boat was also seized during the drive. However, no one was arrested in conneciton with the illegal trading of the fish fry. Later, the fish fry were released in the Sibsa River while the boat was handed over to the local forest office.
