A parolee has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a senior Gauteng police officer. The suspect is currently on parole for a robbery which was committed in Sandringham in 2007. A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of Gauteng deputy police commissioner Major-General Tommy Mthombeni. The suspect was arrested on the M1 South, Joe Slovo Drive, on Friday. "The 39-year-old suspect is currently on parole for robbery which was committed in Sandringham in 2007.
