Swiss-Italian watchmaker Michel Parmigiani founded his eponymous brand in 1996, bringing out his first watch – and simultaneously his first line – in 1997. The javelin-shaped hands, which are semi-openworked like those of many recent Parmigiani watches, are also luminescent – something really rarely, if ever, seen on a dress watch. These bezels are handmade by an independent Swiss craftsman specialized in this component – and have been since 1997. Its automatic Caliber PF441, which powers the outstanding Parmigiani Toric Chronomètre is C.O.S.C.
