Parliament will start vetting nine nominees to the Cabinet from Thursday next week. In a notice by National Assembly clerk Michael Sialai, former PSC chair Margaret Kobia will be first to be vetted. President Uhuru Kenyatta forwarded the names of nine cabinet secretaries, seven principal secretaries and seven ambassador nominees to Parliament. They were all formally serving as Cabinet Secretaries during Uhuru's first term in office. The committee is mandated to vet CS nominees while those nominated for PS positions will be vetted by the relevant departmental committees.
