Additionally, the House has asked the Ministry of Finance to address the GH¢140.7 million shortfall to ensure the smooth execution of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections. The proposed budget request by the EC for the 2024 financial year was GH¢932.03 million. However, the Finance Ministry capped the allocation at GH¢786.9 million, resulting in a shortfall of GH¢140.7 million.
